Locating the Item

To figure out which floor to go to for a particular book, look at the first couple letters of the call number, and then use a Book Locations chart to determine the floor number. Book Locations charts are posted near the elevators throughout Bracken Library. There are also Book Locations bookmarks at the Reference Desk on First Floor West in Bracken Library.

Using the chart below, you will find that a book with the call number TX945.3 .S355 2002 will be on Fourth Floor West. This is because TX falls between RC and Z.
