Catan-ament at Bracken Library

Join Ball State University Libraries for Catan-ament at Bracken Library from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1!

Centered on a (Settlers of) Catan tournament, our event—located in the Schwartz Digital Complex on Bracken Library’s first floor, west side—will also feature open play with board, card, and word games from the University Libraries’ collection. Stop by for an afternoon of tabletop gaming!

  • (Settlers of) Catan tournament: A four-round, no-elimination competition. Develop colonies on the fictional island of Catan in this quintessential modern board game. Score the most points across four games to be (literally) crowned the champion. Preregister via email ( to ensure you have a seat.
  • Open tabletop gaming: Try out tabletop games from the University Libraries’ Educational Technology & Resources Collection. We’ll have a mix of games on hand, but you’re also welcome to bring one of your own to share with other players! No experience necessary – beginners welcome!
