Searching

In CardCat you do either a Keyword search or a Begins With search. A keyword search looks for the terms you entered anywhere. You can also limit the search to a particular field such as the title field. With keyword searching you can combine terms by using Boolean operators (i.e. AND, OR and NOT). A Begins With search retrieves a list of records beginning with the words entered. Use this option when searching by author, title, and periodical title.

Whether you do a Keyword or Begins With search, there is no need to use capitalization or punctuation.
