Begins With Searching
You should use Begins With searching when you know the order of the words. Examples
of this type of search include title, periodical title, author, and subject searches.
Things to keep in mind:
- Title or Periodical Title Search
- Do not use the article (i.e. the, a, an, etc.) at the beginning of the title
- Author Search
- Enter the author's last name first.
- Subject Search
- Do not put dashes between subject terms even though they appear this way in the
CardCat record.
